What is a chemical peel?
A chemical peel applies a carefully chosen blend of acids to the skin for a controlled time. It loosens dull surface cells and encourages fresh, even skin to come through, with results that build across a course.
Mediluxe uses mesoestetic peels, the same brand we use for home skincare, so your treatment and your daily routine work together. The peel and its strength are always matched to your skin type, which matters most for deeper skin tones.
Who chemical peels suit
- Dull, tired or dehydrated skin
- Oily, congested or acne-prone skin
- Redness and sensitivity
- Pigmentation, sun spots and uneven tone
- Uneven texture, enlarged pores and fine lines

01
Consultation
Your skin type and history are assessed so the right peel and strength are chosen. Tell us if you are pregnant, have taken isotretinoin (Roaccutane) in the last 6 months, are prone to cold sores, or have a wheat, gluten, nut or milk allergy.

02
Treatment
Your skin is cleansed, then the peel is applied and carefully timed before it is removed. A light warmth or tingling while it works is normal.
-
03
Aftercare
Depending on the peel, expect anything from no visible peeling to 7–10 days of peeling. Daily SPF is essential while your skin renews.

Frequently asked.
Which chemical peel is right for me?
It depends on your skin type and what you want to change. Morgan assesses your skin at consultation and chooses the peel and strength, from a gentle Lactic 30% first peel to intensive resurfacing.
How many peels will I need?
Most peels work best as a course of 3 to 6, every two weeks, followed by maintenance. The most intensive peel, MD PhenTCA, is a single treatment given no more than twice a year.
Is there downtime after a chemical peel?
It varies by peel. MD Retiflash has little to no downtime, the Eye Revive add-on causes more visible peeling, and MD PhenTCA brings 7 to 10 days of peeling. Morgan will tell you what to expect before you book.
Are chemical peels suitable for darker skin?
Yes, with the right peel. Mandelic 30% is our first choice for deeper skin tones, and MD Melanostop Tranex is recommended for medium and deep tones. Some stronger peels are only suitable for fairer skin.
Who should not have a chemical peel?
Tell us if you are pregnant, have taken isotretinoin (Roaccutane) in the last 6 months, are prone to cold sores, or have a wheat, gluten, nut or milk allergy. Some of these mean waiting or choosing a different treatment.
How much is a chemical peel in Chichester?
